McLean and Tumblin crowned NSGA Women Amateur and Senior Champions

2018 Amateur Women’s Champion – Heather McLean
Heather McLean from Ken-Wo, claimed her first NSGA Women’s Amateur Championship today at the Truro Golf Club.
It was a tight race heading into todays final round. Three players were all within a stroke of each other. McLean, who was leading by one-stroke heading into the final round, extended that lead after carding a one-over par 73 and finished with a three-day total of 223.
Defending champion, Allison Chandler, from Osprey Ridge fired a solid three-over 75. She finished in second place, with a three-day total of 227.
Grandivew’s Cristal Fitzpatrick slipped one spot on the leaderboard, to round out the top three.

2018 Women’s Senior Champion – Susan Tumblin
Oakfield member, Susan Tumblin, claimed her first NSGA provincial¬†title today after winning the 2018 Women’s Senior Championship. Tumblin, the second round leader was able to maintain her lead after scoring a final round 83. She finished with a three-day three-day total of 244.
Finishing one stoke back, in second place was Leslie Houde from Paragon. Houde finished with a three-day total of 245.
Ken-Wo’s Beth Llyod finished only 3-stokes off the lead, with a 3-day total of 247.
