We are looking for an energetic, service-oriented manager to organize, plan and lead the day-to-day operational aspects of the clubhouse at River Hills. You will work closely with a team consisting of the Course Superintendent, the Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, staff, and volunteers on behalf of our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organizing and planning for 440+ members and guests
• Proficient use of the golf management software system at River Hills
• Customer service/Communication
• Budget preparation, financial tracking, inventory
• Staff hiring, management and scheduling
• Sales, marketing, and promotion
• Event planning/fund-raising efforts
• Team-building initiatives
• Follow-up practices with attention to detail in all areas of work
Qualifications:
Minimum three to five years of recent and relevant managerial experience in a service-oriented business with proven ability to multi-task while leading the operational, planning and organizing efforts for River Hills. A golfing background with relevant educational certificates and degrees are assets, but not required.
Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with oversight for creation and adherence to checklists (weekly/monthly) for the various operational areas. Proven time management skills.
• Create financial and tracking reports – memberships, green fees, trail fees, cart rentals, bar sales, kitchen sales, inventory tracking as required and present financial results at the Board meetings.
• Superb interpersonal, customer service and conflict resolution skills. Ability to inform, oversee and enforce polices on behalf of River Hills.
• Proven ability to hire, train and coach a successful and enthusiastic staff. Manage scheduling in accordance with employment policies and budget targets. Ensure that payroll is carried out accurately and on time.
• Possess exceptional communication skills, including written oral, and computer skills with a working knowledge of social media tools for marketing and promotion.
• Ensures cleanliness and safety for clubhouse/driving range/practice area/rental power carts.
• Ability to take on new initiatives to improve the golfing experience at River Hills and self-motivated to be current with knowledge of golf, business trends and developments.
• Sit as an ex-officio member on the River Hills Board of Directors.
Job Type: Seasonal, full-time for golf season (typically March to end of October). Criminal record check required and will sign a River Hills confidentiality statement.
Salary: Negotiated – based on skills and experience.
