My name is Rob Prescott, and I live along the Bedford Basin with my wife Chantal, close to our three children.
Currently playing as a member of the Granite Springs Golf Club, I have been a member of numerous golf courses across Canada and in Europe. After retiring from the Air Force in Greenwood, our family decided to remain here in Nova Scotia, and I worked in Health and Education until my recent retirement. I first became interested in Golf as a youngster caddying during tournaments on a military base in southern Ontario. Unfortunately, I was unable to play regularly until 1982 and have been addicted ever since. A truly encompassing game, golf has lead me to making many friends and sharing multiple experiences on some very scenic and awe inspiring courses over the 40 plus years I have been playing.
Looking towards returning a small part of the great work of others, I volunteered to become a member of the Golf NS Course Rating team to ensure that golfers here will be recognized world-wide as holding valid and accurate handicaps based on well rated courses. After serving as 2nd-Chair of the Handicap and Course Rating Committee, I was asked to accept the position of Chair and join the Board of Golf NS.
