Follow the Junior Championship, our 2024 Men’s Amateur Championship kicked off at Amherst Golf Club. This event was a true test of the participants abilities as they experienced all sorts of weather throughout the three days. From sunny and high humidex levels on Day 1, to major downpours on Day 2 and morning fog to afternoon heat to top it off on Day 3. Through the ups and downs of the course, the players gave us a battle to watch for the championship. Runner up Stu Lenehan, played lights out on Day 1 shooting a 70 overall with a 39 on the front and a 31 on the back. In the end, our top three contenders came with in one point of eachother on the last day, with Brett McKinnon taking the championship with a final score of 214. He also shoot the lowest score of tournament on Day 2 with a 68. Congratulations too all and good luck to the players representing Team NS at the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship
