This year’s Junior Championship was a chance to showcase the junior talent across Nova Scotia. Hosted by Lingan Golf Club in Cape Breton, the championship featured three days of competitive golf as junior golfers battled for the chance to become provincial champions. On Day 2, our U13 and U15 champions were crowned. Congratulations to Lila Doiron and Josh Nickerson for taking home the U13 titles, and to our U15 champions, Lila Bishop and Holden Urquhart.
With our younger Junior Champions crowned, Day 3 brought the anticipation of deciding our U17 and U19 champions. Congratulations to Claira Frizzell for earning both titles, shooting a three-day total of 217. Congratulations as well to Luke MacDougall for completing back-to-back U17 and U19 sweeps! Luke finished with a three-day total of 205, highlighted by an impressive albatross on Hole 10 during Day 2.
The championship featured some outstanding golf, with 25 individual rounds under par across the three-day event. A special congratulations to Luke MacDougall, Cole Stewart, Nathan MacDonald, Tucker Doiron, Elliott Mullen, and Holden Urquhart for finishing the tournament under par.
