McLean and Tumblin crowned NSGA Women Amateur and Senior Champions
2018 Amateur Women’s Champion – Heather McLean
Heather McLean from Ken-Wo, claimed her first NSGA Women’s Amateur Championship today at the Truro Golf Club.
It was a tight race heading into todays final round. Three players were all within a stroke of each other. McLean, who was leading by one-stroke heading into the final round, extended that lead after carding a one-over par 73 and finished with a three-day total of 223.
Defending champion, Allison Chandler, from Osprey Ridge fired a solid three-over 75. She finished in second place, with a three-day total of 227.
Grandivew’s Cristal Fitzpatrick slipped one spot on the leaderboard, to round out the top three.

2018 Women’s Senior Champion – Susan Tumblin
Oakfield member, Susan Tumblin, claimed her first NSGA provincial title today after winning the 2018 Women’s Senior Championship. Tumblin, the second round leader was able to maintain her lead after scoring a final round 83. She finished with a three-day three-day total of 244.
Finishing one stoke back, in second place was Leslie Houde from Paragon. Houde finished with a three-day total of 245.
Ken-Wo’s Beth Llyod finished only 3-stokes off the lead, with a 3-day total of 247.
