Our Girls Come Try Golf program kicked off in May at Antigonish Golf Club and continued throughout the season with sessions at Brightwood Golf & Country Club and Bluenose Golf Club this month. Thank you to each of these clubs for welcoming our participants and helping make the program a success.
More than 75 girls have participated across the four sessions, with many picking up a golf club for the very first time. For the majority of participants, it was also their first experience on a putting green or driving range, making each session an exciting introduction to the game.
Throughout the sessions, the girls learned the fundamentals of golf through fun, interactive activities. They practiced putting with games that challenged their skills, developed their chipping technique around the green, and spent time on the driving range building confidence with their full swing. By the end of each session, the girls had gained new skills, increased their confidence, and discovered just how much fun golf can be.
Beyond learning the game, participants built new friendships, encouraged one another, and created lasting memories on the course. It has been incredible to watch their enthusiasm and progress over the program, and we are excited to see many of them continue their golfing journey.
Thank you to all of the participants, families, volunteers, and host clubs for your support in making this program a memorable success. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the course! Keep up the fantastic work!
With the incredible interest and enthusiasm for the program, we’ve added one final Girls Come Try Golf session this season! Join us at Brightwood Golf & Country Club on August 29th for one more opportunity to learn, have fun, and experience the game of golf.
