Peter Campbell of Baddeck has finished T-15 at PGA Tour China Q-School in Haikou, China. The 4 round event finished up over the weekend.. Campbell’s status will gain him entry to all events on the 14 event tour. Fighting injuries for the last two years brought Campbell to a crossroads. “I had surgery last June and pushed to get back too soon to maintain my status in Latin America.” Campbell stated. “I’m just now starting to feel good again and am looking forward to playing in China on this great Tour.’ He went on to say. The considerable higher purse money and the link to his Chinese heritage was the lure that sent Campbell overseas. Campbell’s first cousin Jessica Wong currently plays with the Kunlun Red Stars in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League. Kunlun is based in Shenzhen, China. The PGA Tour China schedule starts in early March in Chengdu, China.
