Stuart & Lenehan tied at 2020 MCT Men’s MID-Amateur Championship

 

Amherst N.S. – It was moving day today at the 2020 MCT Men’s MID-Amateur Championship at Amherst Golf Club. Stuart Lenehan, of Grandivew Golf & Country Club, has closed the gap on defending champion, Sean Stuart of Ashburn Golf Club. The pair are tied for the top spot heading into tomorrow’s third and final round.
Lenehan carded one bogey and two birdies to fire yet another consistent round of 1-under-par, for a two day total of 70-70 (140).
Sean Stuart started his round with an easy 2-under front nine, but ran into a little trouble on the back after carding two bogeys and one double. Stuart finished the round even-par, for a two day total of 69-71 (140).
Moving up the leaderboard, and into 3rd place is David Williamson. The Ashburn member carded six birdies today to shoot 3-under-par, (68). Williamson’s sits two shots back, with a tournament total of 74-68 (142).
Craig Hollett of Grandview Golf & Country Club leads the MID-Master division, with a two day total of 74-70 (144). Yesterday’s leader, Trevor Chow of Ashbrun and Aaron Nickerson of River Hills Golf & Country Club are currently tied for second, with a two day total of 145.
Public Player, Chad Anderson has the sole lead of Division 2, after two consistent rounds of 74-73 (147). Cliff Lowrey Jr., of Amherst Golf Club continues to lead division 3 with a two day total of 78-76 (154).
