Golf Nova Scotia Welcomes back Jordyn Wolfer as Program Coordinator

Golf Nova Scotia welcomes back Jordyn Wolfer to our team as Program Coordinator!

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Jordyn Wolfer has made Halifax her home for the past three years while attending Dalhousie University and studying Therapeutic Recreation.

She hails from a family of golfers back in Calgary and has been a loyal part of the Member Services Team at Silver Springs Golf & Country Club for the previous 4 seasons prior to her summer with Golf NS last year. Jordyn understands what it takes to deliver first-class service and is a welcomed addition to our in-season operational team.

We’re excited to work together throughout the season and thank Inglis Jewellers for their support of golf in Nova Scotia!

Golf Nova Scotia is thrilled to announce Morgan Wren as our new Technical Director

Morgan has been involved in sport and recreation for over ten years—as an athlete, coach, and administrator. She has a Bachelor of Community Development from Acadia University, where she developed a strong foundation in community leadership and program development.

Morgan’s experience spans everything from grassroots programming to major games operations, including roles with the 2023 Alberta Summer Games, Canoe ’22, and the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation. She has worked closely with Sport Nova Scotia, the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic, and the Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage to support athlete pathways and sport development across the province.

Morgan is also actively involved in the paddling and ultimate frisbee communities, currently serving on the board for the Atlantic Division of Canoe Kayak Canada and coaching with Dalhousie University’s Ultimate team. She is passionate about creating accessible, inclusive sport environments and building strong connections between athletes, coaches, and communities.

We’re excited for what’s ahead with Morgan on board — welcome to the Golf Nova Scotia family!

First Tee Junior Coach Program

First Tee – Atlantic Junior Coach Program was created for youth age 15+ to help model and teach the First Tee Program curriculum to our younger participants. Junior Coaches provide a vital service to the First Tee community by decreasing the student-to-instructor ratio in our classes, directly improving our young golfers’ learning experience on-course. At the same time, they build their resumé and real-world career competencies by working alongside First Tee Coaches and PGA of Canada professionals.

For all positions, there is no minimum hourly commitment, but a consistent weekly schedule will be developed for you each season based on your availability. If you would like to learn more about our Junior Coach Program or get involved, please contact Emily at enickerson@golfcanada.ca.
